    "Crankies" are images created on long scrolls and wound through a frame to accompany music or stories. It's an old-fashioned technology that has had a resurgence in the past decade, and has become a vibrant part of the contemporary traditional music scene.

     Paul has built a number of crankies to for songs both traditional and original. In addition to including them in his shows, he can also do crankie showcases, Q & As, and workshops.
