     Calling square dances is one of my greatest joys - I call square dances with high-energy live music and create an event that is fun, welcoming, and beginner friendly!
     Back in 2002, in Portland Oregon, I began studying with legendary dance caller Bill Martin and since then I’ve called at hundreds of festivals and events across the West.

     I call with live string bands and have shared the stage with many great musicians including Bruce Molsky, Pharis & Jason Romero, and Foghorn Stringband, just to name a few.
     In 2020 I released Old Time Dance Party - a guidebook for square dance enthusiasts and aspiring callers that teaches dances and also gives advice for booking, promoting, and more.
     In addition to public performances, I have more than a decade of experience working with children and school groups of all ages.
